Several years ago our firm purchased management and leadership assessments and they were based entirely on objective, numerical surveys. There is a lot of merit to numerical ratings, but we are humans and I don't think everything can be boiled down to numbers.
Your commitment to understanding the qualitative and human environment was very helpful and gave me additional detailed feedback based on how people actually experience me, not just how they scored me on a pencil and paper test. People who were involved in the process told me that they found the meeting, and your questions very useful, they felt they could trust you and give you information that would help me. There is so much you learned from them, based on your questioning and observing of their body language.
This also gave you a picture of how I operate. People who met you all said that they were very comfortable with you, that you are a great interviewer and helped them understand and explain important things. The insight you gained has helped me a lot with real situations.

We have had to take a sales organization, turn it around, tear it down and rebuild while running it. It looks like it is on track: the first four months of 2002 the sales results were over plan the first time in almost ten years.
We created a strategy that we believed would make a difference. Foresters is a unique organization with clients/members and community investment in many communities across the U.S. Our strategy had a lot of moving parts, and we developed a very ambitious implementation plan. We had a lot to do fast with many state-of-the-art components that were developed separately but had to work together; totally new field leadership to be recruited and oriented; regional leadership teams to be high performing fast; new tools and systems implemented as available, each representing progress toward the desired state and each demanding new learning and adaptation.
